Threats Of Prosecution By BN That Can See Me Being Fined RM50,000 And/Or One Year’s Jail, Causing My Disqualification As Penang Chief Minister, Will Not Deter Me From Opposing The GST, Even Through An Anti-GST Song.

BN’s threats of prosecution that can result in me being fined RM 50,000 and/or one year’s jail, leading to my disqualification to be the Penang Chiefr Minister, will not deter me from opposing the GST, even through an anti-GST song. Being investigated under section 233 of the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission Act, will not stop me from singing the anti-GST parody of the ABC song, again in public.

Clearly BN intends to continue to bully the Penang Chief Minister, when UMNO leaders committing worse wrongs are ignored. Investigations against me has been quickly completed as announced by the  Penang police chief Commissioner Datuk A. Thaiveegan yesterday.

What about action against UMNO leaders such as Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor’s visit to a primary school in Putra Jaya ang getting students to sing UMNO songs, waving UMNO flags and shouting UMNO slogans or Negeri Sembilan Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Haji Mohamad bin Haji Hasan threatening violence against the opposition supporters by overturning their tables?

Whilst I am willing to be criticised for singing the song, or singing in front of school children or even for my bad singing, to consider this as a possible criminal offence is excessive, double-standards and an abuse of power. Is BN so desperate to fix me up that every single police report will be thoroughly dealt with? Are BN Ministers or the Prime Minister, Deputy Prime Minister, Menteri Besars and Deputy Ministers subjected to such thorough investigative process based on every single police report lodged against them?
