Last week I visited PERKESO latest rehabilitation centre in Ipoh.

5 of the 11 buildings with facilities will be completed end of this year and full completion will be in May 2025.

The slight delay is because this year we modified some of the plans including the ventilation system. This will not only be better for the whole centre but we will also have a cost saving of about RM 8 MILLION.

The changes also allow PERKESO to accommodate alternative medicine such as Malay, Chinese, and Indian traditional medicine to the rehabilitation centre.

After completion, the rehabilitation centre will put Perak and Malaysia to the world map by having one of the most advanced technology in rehabilitative medicine, including AI, robotics and cybernics.

We will also work with Japanese university and institutions to establish a research centre there.

I also had an audience with DYMM Sultan Nazrin Shah to update His Majesty on the development of this centre. His Majesty has given great support to the project from day 1.
