民主行动党全国主席加巴星律师国会议员郑重指出，该党不会步已故敦林苍佑后尘，接受“利诱”(offer)，背叛人民，而加入国阵。
他是在周日出席於亚依淡举行的例常记者会上如是指出，加巴星表示，不同於已故敦林苍佑於1969年选择加入国阵政府(当时称联盟)的作法，民主行动党将会秉承其政治原则立场，谢绝任何来自国阵的利诱。

“我们不是不要守诺，而是法庭判决了。我们惟有制定24间双层排屋的替代方案。”
Bukit Gelugor MP Karpal Singh said today that Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng could have been jailed if he defied the Federal Court decision for the residents to vacate the village in 2009.
The Federal Court in Aug, 2009, stood by its June 24 decision that the Kg Buah Pala residents must vacate their homes and hand over the property to the developer who had obtained approval to redevelop the area.

在丹州务大臣聂亚兹针对依斯兰断肢刑法再次“旧事重提”，更宣称不须联邦政府批准下可执行回教断肢法，又另一边厢面对国阵政府推出被指“取悦于民”财政预算案，使到加巴星表示，这两大因素对大选选情造成影响，民联不能再掉以轻心。
民主行动党全国主席卡巴星澄清，该党前副主席祖基菲献议派巫裔代攻槟州公正党议席的要求，不代表党领导层的立场，而且该党绝不对民联友党趁火打劫。
“祖基菲的声明根本无足轻重。”
祖基菲前天建议，公正党让出槟州1国5州给行动党巫裔候选人竞选，以加强该党与槟政府的多元形象，结果槟公正党宣传局主任佐哈里反促，行动党自行腾出议席给巫裔，别学巫统一党独大般傲慢。

卡巴星今午发表文告说，行动党不会支持吉州政府这项决定，并要求州政府收回成命，以照顾公众及民联的利益。

提及和丰的行动党和公正党党员，因穿著净选盟及火箭的衣服而被逮补，还被指示脱下衣服以作为呈堂证物，对此他表示警方的作法已羞辱他人，也认为若是要当作证物，只需拍下照片就行了。
Karpal Singh slammed the Kuala Lumpur Magistrate Court’s handling of the Datuk T proceedings yesterday for showing the sex video to the public and for allowing Anwar to be implicated in his absence.
“This is the first time in legal history of the country that a pornographic video clip produced as an exhibit in court has been played on two big screens, one facing them magistrate and the other the public gallery,” said the Bukit Gelugor MP and veteran lawyer in a statement today.
DAP chairman Karpal Singh lodged a police report against an English daily (not The Star) which published an article claiming he had distributed sex videos of a former Dewan Rakyat deputy speaker.
Karpal said the article, published in the daily on June 14 titled Karpal’s political chicanery exposed again, was an “unadulterated lie”.

DAP national chairperson and senior lawyer Karpal Singh today described Prime Minister Najib Abdul Razak as “mischievous” for imputing ulterior motives to the family of the late Teoh Beng Hock and its reservations against the Royal Commission of Inquiry into his death.

Peguam kanan Karpal Singh membangkitkan isu perlembagaan di Mahkamah Persekutuan hari ini dengan menegaskan bahawa semua penghakiman bertulis mestilah dibuat dalam Bahasa Malaysia.
Beliau berkata, para hakim harus memenuhi syarat-syarat Akta Bahasa Kebangsaan, dan bahawa “semua penghakiman bertulis dalam Bahasa Inggeris hendaklah diisytiharkan batal dan tidak sah”.
The proposed Race Relations Act is seen as the best deterrent to prevent further racist remarks from being uttered by irresponsible individuals, said DAP chairman Karpal Singh.

Karpal Singh has called for the Penal Code to be amended in order to provide for the death penalty for child rapists.

Veteran politician Karpal Singh didn’t let pneumonia stop him from attending his grand 70th birthday celebration here last night, and then declared another birthday wish on the occasion.
He wants to live until the age of 80 for another grand celebration.
