Let us not steal our children’s future but give them hope, teach them love and build their confidence that they can be as good as they want and not be inferior or left behind merely on account of the colour of their skin.

Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin should read in full my 2011 Penang Easter Message and not be misled by lies spread by an UMNO blog run by an UMNO leader. I enclose herewith the relevant excerpt of my Easter Message:-

Urban voters in Sarawak voted for PR and DAP not on race but because they wanted good governance, an end to widespread corruption and Sarawak Chief Minister Tan Sri Taib Mahmud’s misrule. DAP would not have won the four seats of Kidurong, Meradong, Batu Kawah and Dudong without strong Iban support as these seats have either slightly more than 50% of Chinese voters or even slightly more than 50% of Iban voters.

If there is any generalisation of the Sarawak general elections is to be done it should not be based on demographic trends based on race but geographical trends based on location.

In this holy Easter celebration to mark the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and the Lord Jesus resurrection, is also an occasion to to renew Christians’ vows of faith in truth, hope and love. Christians regardless of skin colour have prayed for peace and prosperity. Christians have also prayed for wisdom and compassion in our leaders. Most important of all Christians pray for truth to guide Malaysians in our daily affairs.

Malaysians hope that the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak will heed the voice of the rakyat and Malaysian netizens to cancel the provision of free 1Malaysia email accounts and give free wifi instead. Even though this is now not a government initiative but a private sector initiative, spending RM50 million on duplicating efforts of Gmail, Yahoo, Hotmail etc to provide free email accounts is typical profile of a BN government being penny wise pound foolish.

Giving free email accounts is not the most important service in the world. Somehow the government is missing the wood from the trees. Just like the RM52 billion bumi shares scandal, where RM52 billion worth of shares supposed to be given to ordinary Malays/bumiputera natives went missing. Instead of setting up a Royal Commission of Inquiry(RCI) to serve public interest by investigating and taking action against the culprits responsible for running of RM52 billion worth of shares, the BN government appears more interested in setting up a RCI over some dubious sex video tapes by individuals seeking political vengeance.

Chua Soi Lek Should Not Follow Utusan Malaysia’s Tactics Of Racialising The Results Of The Sarawak General Elections, When The Key Issue Is About Change Not About Whether Voters Want Chinese Representation In Government.
MCA President Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek should not follow Utusan Malaysia’s tactics of racialising the results of the recent Sarawak state general elections when the key issue is about change not about whether voters want Chinese representation in government. UMNO paper, Utusan Malaysia, had asked BN to ignore Chinese voters just because they supported the opposition.

Datuk Seri Abu Kassim Mohamed digesa supaya mengundurkan diri sebagai Pesuruhjaya Suruhanjaya Pencegah Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) sehingga siasatan kes kematian Penolong Pengarah Kastam Selangor, Ahmad Sarbani Mohamed diselesaikan ekoran kenyataan yang dikeluarkan Abu Kassim yang berunsur provokasi, berbahaya dan berniat jahat yang menyatakan bahawa kematian ini tidak sepatutnya dimanipulasi oleh sesetengah pihak untuk kepentingan peribadi.

DAP mencadangkan agar Datuk Seri Abu Kassim berundur daripada memegang jawatan sebagai Pesuruhjaya Suruhanjaya Pencegah Rasuah Malaysia (SPRM) sehingga siasatan kes kematian Penolong Pengarah Kastam Ahmad Sarbani Mohamed diselesaikan. DAP menghormati usaha Datuk Seri Abu Kassim untuk cuba membersih dan mengembalikan beberapa profesionalisme ke dalam SPRM yang telah hilang kepercayaan daripada rakyat selepas kematian Setiausaha Politik DAP, Teoh Beng Hock yang pada ketika itu adalah di bawah mantan Pesuruhjaya SPRM.

Datuk Seri Abu Kassim Mohamed Should Step Aside As MACC Commissioner Until Investigations Into The Death Of Customs Officer Ahmad Sarbani Mohamed Is Complete Following Abu Kassim’s Provocative, Malicious And Ill-Intentioned Remarks That The Death Should Not Be Exploited Or Manipulated By Certain Quarters For Their Personal Interests.

DAP suggests that Datuk Seri Abu Kassim Mohamed should step aside as Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) Commissioner until investigations into the death of Customs Officer Ahmad Sarbani Mohamed is complete. DAP had had some respect for Datuk Seri Abu Kassim for his efforts to try to clean up and restore some professionalism into MACC, which lost public confidence following the debacle of the death of DAP political secretary Teoh Beng Hock under Abu Kassim’s predecessor.

The Public Would Never Believe That Bernama Dares To Misreport The Prime Minister, Unless The Offending Bernama Reporter Is Sacked For Unprofessional Conduct And Incompetence.
Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Tan Sri Dr Koh Tsu has caused confusion with his statement that Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak had never expressed confidence that BN would recapture Penang. Koh claimed that the Bernama reporter must have been over-excited or over-enthusiastic in misreporting Najib, who had merely said that the warm welcome Najib received can be translated to BN winning a few more seats.
