民主行動黨檳州社青團宣傳秘書葉進強週二發表文告，促請檳州民青團團長胡棟強勿“利用”反貪污委員會，企圖阻止政府所推行有利於民的政策。
他感到不解的是，為何胡棟強會把政府所推行的回饋樂齡人士計划說成是一項成政治賄賂？他表示對胡氏的言論感到失望。
他認為，胡棟強的言論和舉動應向前來向檳州政府登記的樂齡人士道歉。

槟州民青团团长胡栋强要求反贪污委员会介入调查槟州政府回馈乐龄人士的计划，相等于指责所有向槟州政府登记的乐龄人士愿意接受贿赂，民主行动党严正促请胡栋强就其幼稚的言论向所有乐龄人士道歉！
胡栋强指责槟州政府贿赂人民，同样亦指责乐龄人士接受贿赂。若槟州政府回馈乐龄人士可被视为贿赂，同样地接受回馈金的乐龄人士皆有错。那么，胡栋强是否要把槟州7万个接受登记的乐龄人士送入监牢呢？

槟州所有民联人民代议士为维护及捍卫能干、负责及透明原则不惜被高渊区国会议员陈智铭起诉。陈智铭离开人民公正党的真正原因是他不满在槟州水务局没得到委任职位，以及他所提出的各种要求不符合能干、负责及透明原则。
陈智铭非但未针对本身无法支持槟州民联政府的能干、负责及透明政策向民联及高渊区选民道歉，还反过来恶人先告状，恫言起诉槟州首席部长林冠英、第二副首长拉玛沙米及日落洞区国会议员黄泉安。槟州首席部长林冠英已经说明陈智铭不满林冠英是因为林冠英拒绝陈智铭要求干预秋泰路店面一事。陈智铭向林冠英表示其叔伯有意租下有关店面，但林冠英坚持遵守能干、负责及透明原则。

All Penang PR Wakil Rakyats are willing to be sued by Nibong Tebal MP Tan Tee Beng for defending and upholding CAT principles. The real reason that Tan Tee Beng left PKR was his unhappiness in not being appointed for positions in PBA, and his various demands that were not CAT-compliant.
So far, Tan Tee Beng has failed to apologise to PR and Nibong Tebal voters for failing to support Penang PR Government’s CAT principles of Competency, Accountability & Transparency and instead threatened to sue Penang Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng, Deputy Chief Minister II Prof Dr. P. Ramasamy & Jelutong MP Jeff Ooi.

Support NUBE’s Call to Increase Maternity Leave to 90 Days
I fully support the latest campaign by the National Union of Bank Employees (NUBE) to call the Government to increase maternity leave for working women in Malaysia to 90 days from the current 60 days.
The demand for 90 days is in compliance with the standard set by the International Labour Organization (ILO). Presently, Asian countries such as our ASEAN neighbours Cambodia, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam and countries such as China, Korea, India and Iran all adhere to the 90-day ILO standard. The Pakatan Rakyat State Government of Selangor has also implemented the 90-day maternity leave since 2009.

Bayan Baru member of parliament Datuk Seri Zahrain Mohamed Hashim’s reasons for leaving PKR is clearly due to his self-admitted private interests and personal unhappiness over my refusal to fulfil his requests in the Island Golf Properties Sdn Bhd(IGP). Zahrain had begun his statement outlining his reasons for quitting all positions in PKR and becoming an independent MP by repeating his false allegations that he was removed as Chairman of IGP even though I have immediately rebutted yesterday that this is not true. PDC has informed me that no letter has been sent by either PDC or IGP to any director of IGP, including Zahrain of any changes. Zahrain has been the Chairman and Director of Island Golf Properties Bhd since 9th July 2008.

18% Melayu yang diperuntukan tapak perniagaan MPPP, jangan menyalahkan Pakatan Rakyat
Yang DiPertua Dewan Perniagaan Melayu Pulau Pinang (DPMPP) Rizal Faris Mohideen Abdul Kadir telah menggunakan statistik hanya 18% Melayu diperuntukan kepada orang Melayu untuk menuduh kerajaan Pakatan Rakyat meninggirkan orang Melayu di Pulau Pinang.
Tetapi Rizal sengaja tidak mahu menerangkan bahawa 18% ini adalah angka yang terkumpul sejak adanya MPPP dan zaman pemerintahan Barisan Nasional.
