    Absolutely disgusting as a member of the State Legislative Council. Is he even a civilised person to act in such a way in the State Assembly? Terrible!

    Why is he making such a big fuss about protests? It is the will of the people to present their views about things they feel have not been right. They keep saying that it is unMalaysian to protest nowadays. Okay, let us consult our history textbooks. Didn’t the Malay people protest to fight for their rights against British tyranny, and against the formation of the Malayan Union? So what makes it so different nowadays? Besides, the function of an opposition in a democracy is to provide an alternative viewpoint (and I mean in a civilised peaceful manner!) to that of the present national government. To do nothing is to betray the fundamental ideals of democracy. In conclusion, protesting is a way of presenting the will of the people!
